Duties
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning routines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances.
- Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients for meal service according to menu specifications.
- Follow food safety management practices to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and understanding food safety standards is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and maintaining a positive team environment.
