Edward Koehn Co., Inc. is a third-generation Swiss CNC machine shop in Berkeley, California. ISO 9001:2015 registered. We run seven Citizen Swiss machines (L12 through L20/K16), plus an Okuma lathe, Miyano, and a Robodrill — all managed on ProShop ERP. We machine stainless, brass, aluminum, titanium, and plastics for customers across the Bay Area and beyond.
THE ROLE
We need a hands-on Production Manager who can set up Swiss machines, program them, and run the shop floor. This role grows into a General Manager/Shop Manager position with authority over the entire floor, hiring, and capital equipment planning.
Pay based on experience
REQUIRED — SWISS EXPERIENCE
* 3+ years setting up and running Swiss-type CNC lathes
* Set up complex Swiss jobs independently from a print: tooling, workholding, guide bushing, prove-out
REQUIRED — PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE
* Program parts from scratch in CAM — PartMaker strongly preferred (Esprit or similar are great too)
* Provide accurate cycle and setup times for quoting
ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR
* Owning the production schedule in ProShop and hitting ship dates
* Running a short daily production huddle
* Building and maintaining Part records (master setup documentation)
* Training junior machinists to full Swiss setup capability
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
