We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team at Right at Home Far North Texas, a leading home care franchise system. About the Role
As a Caregiver, you will provide personal care services, including assistance with activities of daily living, household tasks, and companionship activities. You will work with clients who need support with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders, as well as those who require light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation assistance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist clients with transferring/moving from one place to another throughout their home
- Perform housekeeping activities, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, and cleaning the bathroom
- Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments
- Provide bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving assistance
- Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Provide dementia care
- Engage in companionship activities, such as reading, music, puzzles, and more
Qualifications and Skills
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
- Ability to transfer 50 lbs without assistance
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance in your name or added driver
- Pass a background check
- Basic computer and smartphone skills (for training and clock-in apps)
- 6 months to 1-year experience preferred
- Ability to pass a drug test (upon hire and randomly)
