We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Manager with the installation, repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and facility systems.
This position requires someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and industrial troubleshooting experience who can assist with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, fabrication, welding, and general maintenance needs.
Maintain operational readiness of facility infrastructure and equipment.
Perform and assist with preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and assist with repairs involving:
Assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment.
Follow established maintenance procedures.
Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Assist with maintaining maintenance parts and inventory.
Help reduce equipment downtime and improve operational uptime.
Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping.
Safely operate forklifts, manlifts, and other equipment as needed.
Assist with fabrication, welding, plumbing, and other maintenance-related tasks.
Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
Must have:
Previous industrial maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems – 480V / 3-phase.
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
General knowledge of equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, including working around hazardous materials.
Ability to follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Safety-conscious and dependable.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to make decisions independently.
Able to work effectively and respectfully with others.
