Responsibilities
- Operate loaders to load and transport quarry materials efficiently, primarily base material.
- Load materials into belly dumps as well as haul trucks, and move materials into stockpiles when there is excess.
- Conduct inspections on equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely management of materials and a smooth workflow across the site.
- Perform daily routine maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Support other quarry activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous loader and heavy machinery experience is required.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, primarily loaders.
- Familiarity with the Komatsu WA500 or similar machinery is desierable.
- Experience in regular maintenace and upkeep of heavy machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues on machinery.
- Familiarity with mining site safety standards and best practices.
