About Us
Rebuild Altadena is a local residential design-build company helping families rebuild after the Eaton Fire. We manage projects from design and permitting through construction and completion.
We are growing and looking for an experienced Residential Project Manager / Superintendent who knows how to build homes and can take ownership of projects in the field.
What You'll Do
- Manage multiple residential construction projects
- Read and understand architectural and structural plans
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors
- Direct subcontractors and make sure work is being built correctly
- Review framing, foundation, MEP and finish work for quality and plan compliance
- Catch construction issues before they become costly problems
- Prepare jobs for inspections and coordinate corrections
- Track schedules, progress, photos and jobsite documentation
- Communicate with homeowners, subcontractors and the Rebuild Altadena team
- Keep projects organized, on schedule and moving forward
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of residential construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of ground-up residential construction
- Ability to read plans and understand construction details
- Strong framing and structural construction knowledge
- Experience managing and scheduling subcontractors
- Ability to walk a jobsite and identify work that isn't being built correctly
- Organized and comfortable managing several projects at once
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- California residential construction experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable using construction management software for scheduling, documentation, photos, and communication; JobTread experience is a plus but not required
The Person We're Looking For
This is not just a scheduling or office project management position.
We want someone who can walk onto a residential jobsite with a set of plans, understand what is being built, spot problems, give subcontractors clear direction and take ownership of getting the house built correctly.
