Plateco is looking for a Production Supervisor Assistant to help lead daily operations on our first shift. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to grow into a leadership role.
In this position, you'll work alongside the Production Supervisor to support employees, maintain safety and quality standards, coordinate production activities, and help ensure customer orders are completed on time. Every day brings new challenges, making this a rewarding role for someone who thrives on teamwork, organization, and continuous improvement.
Schedule
- First Shift
- Monday through Thursday
- Four 10-hour shifts
- Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week!
- Occasional Fridays as needed to meet customer demand
What You'll Do
- Assist the Production Supervisor with coordinating daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Support and motivate production employees while helping maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Coordinate material movement and production flow using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Ensure employees are following company policies, work instructions, and safety procedures.
- Complete production reports, inventory records, and quality documentation accurately.
- Assist with employee training, coaching, and problem-solving on the production floor.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous manufacturing or production experience required.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Forklift experience is preferred; certification is a plus (training available).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance.
- Safety-minded with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
