- Literacy of Northern New York is hiring a part-time ESL Teacher to work at our nonprofit organization located in Watertown, NY.
Must be comfortable working with students who are:
- Adults ages 16 and older
- Beginner and intermediate English as a Second Language learners
- Residents of Jefferson and Lewis counties, NY
Job Description:
This position is for a teacher who teaches a beginner and intermediate English as a Second language class for adults. Classes are held on Monday - Wednesday. The teacher also does intake and assessment for students, inputs student data in the ASISTS database, attends 14 hours of staff development annually in the Central NY region, assists with fundraising events, and helps train volunteer tutors. Minimum education requirement: associate's degree. Must have a driver's license and a vehicle. TESOL certification is preferred but will consider candidates with teaching experience in other specialties. Must reside in Jefferson, Lewis or St. Lawrence County, NY.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
