Responsible for all facets of Field Operations in geographic territory consisting of multiple markets. Accountable for operations and maintenance of network assets in the territory including core facilities, ILA’s, 3R’s, terminals of Lon-Haul Fiber networks, Metro aggregation locations, POP’s, Cable Landing Stations and Data Centers. Responsible for inside/outside field installation and maintenance work associated with core network capacity and end customer enterprise services.

- Provides strong leadership to Field Operations personnel, including communicating vision, strategy, and objectives.
- Strategically works with other functional leaders in forecasting customer activity and resulting resource requirements within the Territory; identifies and manages resource allocation and needed employee skill sets within the Territory based on forecasted work levels. Manages technical operations metrics, cost control initiatives and contractor management.

Accountable for managing a diverse workforce, reporting performance, initiating process improvement, evaluates and develops improved techniques. Drives the enterprise culture and HR strategies. Creates strategies to achieve business goals such as increasing revenues, removes expenses and develops a skilled, motivated, satisfied, and diverse workforce.
- Aligns with upstream groups to ensure optimal customer experience, as reflected in avoidable truck rolls, repeat calls into the call center, increased first call resolution, reduced churn, reduced fiber cuts and human error outages.

Reviews and submits reports that provide critical data to drive ongoing operational performance improvement.

Responsible for forecasting and managing a large Field Operations OPEX and CAPEX budget. Responsible for planning and maintaining departmental budgets.
- At least 8 years relevant experience in telecommunications industry with greater than 5 years management and supervisory experience.

- Visionary thinking complimented by shaping and executing strategy.
- Business orientation to include functional depth and breadth within telecommunications operations and strong financial and budgetary skills.

- Strong decision-making skills coupled with the ability to lead change.
- Knowledge in the assessment and execution of LEAN process methods.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are necessary to interface effectively with the other locations, staff, department management and various internal and external parties.
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$152,066 - $202,755 in these states: PA
$167,273 - $223,031 in these states: MA NY VA
