JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction from the Plant Manager the Utilities Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to oversee the daily operations of all of the plant utilities systems. Also responsible for the supervision and evaluation of the work of any temporary employees and contractors within the facility that are working on the utilities systems, as well as guarantee that the facility is operating with appropriate staffing. Also ensures that company policies and regulations are followed at all times by all employees and contractors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Operate, maintain, and repair the boiler system including all auxiliary equipment.
- Operate, maintain, and repair the compressed air system including all auxiliary equipment.
- Operate, maintain, and repair the fresh and effluent water systems
- Maintain the integrity of the instrumentation system(s) including calibrations.
- Maintain the integrity of both the plant operations and general use electrical systems
- Ensure facility is operating according to the policies and procedures defined in the Quality Systems and Operations
- manual.
- Ensures all policies and procedures are followed by employees and contractors.
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
- Ability to keep accurate and complete records.
- Assist whenever needed with the compiling of reports for regulatory requirements
- Monitors steam quality.
- Responsible for the safe use and accountability of plant equipment and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Report food safety, quality, and food defense personnel with authority to initiate action.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Must have prior experience as a supervisor or foreman.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years of related experience and/or training; or
- equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer skills desired.
- Knowledge of the HART communication/calibration protocol and the DeviceNet system a plus.
