Job Overview
We are looking for individuals who are willing to learn and be a part of a dynamic group. Cooks at Cispus prepare bulk, home-style meals to feed as many as 400 individuals per meal. Experience is not necessary, but a background check and Washington State Food Worker's Card are required. Permits can be obtained on-line at foodworkercard.wa.gov. Compensation offers sick/vacation time, Simple IRA with a match of 3% once qualifications are met
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- We need people that are able to work flexible schedules, Mornings, Nights, Weekdays, Weekends & Holidays.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, fostering teamwork within the Cispus staff.
