Overview
We are a firm managing finances and bookkeeping for multiple companies across construction, vacation rentals, and real estate. We're seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Bookkeeper to handle day-to-day bookkeeping across this varied portfolio of entities. This is a great fit for someone with strong QuickBooks skills who's comfortable working across different industries and can manage multiple sets of books simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records across multiple company entities in QuickBooks
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor, contractor, and property-related payments
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy for each entity
- Track project/property-level income and expenses (e.g., job costs for construction, rental income/expenses for vacation rentals and real estate)
- Prepare and review financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, entity-level reports) using QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Sheets
- Maintain organized, audit-ready records across all entities
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)
- Proven bookkeeping experience across multiple entities or clients
- Experience in construction, real estate, or short-term/vacation rental bookkeeping a plus
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when switching between different companies' books
- Solid understanding of debits & credits, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Ability to work independently, manage time well, and meet deadlines across multiple entities
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
