Overview
In this role, the Field Operations Technician will be responsible for the efficient operation of natural gas pressure reduction and distribution systems and related equipment. The Field Operations Technician will maintain high-pressure equipment, provide clear customer communication, prioritize safety and environmental compliance, and assist with trailer repairs and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Field Operations Technician will have direct responsibility for the following:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain various natural gas field equipment and systems (e.g., pressure regulators, separators, control devices, distribution systems).
- Instruct third-party personnel on the proper operation of natural gas field equipment.
- Assist in repairing trailers and addressing customer requests.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance.
- Monitor and manage parts inventory for the assigned area.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer communication.
- Adhere to all required Company trainings, policies, and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
- Clean driving record.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- General understanding of relevant safety and security protocols.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of fracturing, acidizing, and other industry-related practices.
Travel Requirements
This position requires frequent travel, including overnight travel of up to 60%.
Work Location
This position may be based in Houston, Austin, or Midland, Texas.
