Position Summary
We are seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist to support food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, supplier management, and audit readiness across restaurant operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food safety and quality assurance within restaurant, food manufacturing, commercial kitchen, or multi-unit food service environments.
Required Qualifications
- , Quality Assurance, or Quality Control
- Experience in a restaurant, food manufacturing facility, commercial kitchen, or multi-unit food service environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with audits, inspections, corrective actions, and food safety programs
- Ability to communicate professionally in English
- Ability to work onsite in New York and travel as needed
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- NYC Food Protection Certificate
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM)
- HACCP certification and practical experience
- PCQI certification
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- Experience with FDA, USDA, health department inspections, SQF, BRC, or GFSI standards
- Japanese language proficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct food safety and quality audits
- Support regulatory and health department compliance
- Investigate customer complaints and quality issues
- Develop and implement corrective actions
- Monitor food safety programs and documentation
- Collaborate with suppliers and restaurant operations teams
- Provide food safety training and guidance to staff
Additional Information
- Hybrid schedule (currently remote work available on Fridays)
