JOB SUMMARY
The Engineering Intern provides administrative and organizational support to the Engineering team while gaining exposure to the planning, design, construction, and documentation processes that support broadband telecommunications networks. This position is designed for a high school student, recent graduate, or early college student interested in engineering, technology, telecommunications, GIS mapping, construction, or project management.
The internship offers hands-on experience working alongside engineering professionals and provides a pathway toward future entry-level opportunities within the organization.

Administrative Support

Organize and maintain engineering records, files, and documentation.

Assist with scanning, filing, and digitizing historical records.

Support document management and record retention activities.

Help prepare project folders and organize project-related documentation.

Assist with data entry and quality assurance of engineering records.

Track and update project documentation as directed.
Engineering Department Support

Learn the fundamentals of outside plant (OSP) engineering and telecommunications infrastructure.

Assist with maintaining network records and documentation systems.

Support updates to mapping and record-keeping platforms, including GIS-based systems.

Observe and assist with project planning activities.

Participate in departmental meetings and project discussions as appropriate.

Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and other departments on assigned tasks.

Assist with special projects and research assignments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school student, recent high school graduate, or early college student preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Will be asked to provide 39 months driving record. Position requires insurability under GRTI insurer requirements.

Will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
