CDL Class B Driver

Hiring in the Watertown/Evans Mills, NY area!!
We are seeking a qualified, dependable driver with at least a Class B CDL to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing residential curbside customers waste and recycling. You must be able to work with teams and by yourself. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with our customers. We prefer candidates who have at least 1 Year of truck driving experience. We are looking for RELIABLE candidates that have a GOOD WORK ETHIC. THIS IS NOT AN ONLY DRIVING POSITION. The Waste Hauling Industry requires personel to get out of the vehicle to service customers. HANDLING TRASH AND WORKING IN THE ELEMENTS ARE PART OF THE JOB!
Responsibilities:
- Able to pick up 50 lbs
- Map delivery routes to ensure timely pick-ups
- Daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections
- Operate various hydraulic and truck mechanisms.
- Transport waste and recycling to respective collection centers
- Communicate with dispatch as needed
- Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, tire pressure, minor repairs, etc.)
- Maintain detailed driving and service logs
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
- Obey all workplace safety standards
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a truck driver/Operator
- Ability to manually work
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid CDL
- Experienced Automated Side Loader operators will receive higher end pay
Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday work week with 40 hours minimum
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
