In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in an inpatient setting. You will work closely with patients, assisting them in their therapeutic journey while ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Your contributions will be vital in promoting recovery and enhancing the overall well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by licensed mental health professionals.
- Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns to the clinical team.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and engage patients in therapeutic activities.
- Provide support during crisis situations, employing de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records of patient interactions and progress.
- Participate in case management activities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct data collection for assessments and treatment evaluations.
- Address gender issues counseling as necessary, ensuring sensitivity and understanding towards diverse backgrounds.
- Support pediatric patients through tailored interventions that meet their unique needs.
Skills
- Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques is preferred.
- Experience working in an inpatient behavioral health setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of therapy modalities and their application in mental health treatment.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Knowledge of case management principles and best practices for effective patient care coordination.
- Ability to collect and analyze data relevant to patient outcomes and treatment efficacy.
- Background in social work or related fields is a plus, enhancing your ability to connect with patients on various levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
