Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our back of house team at our cafe. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for food preparation, meal planning, and ensuring food safety in our restaurant's kitchen. Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu planning
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen manager
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook in a restaurant or similar setting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
