The Opportunity
We are currently seeking professional individuals who can lead from the field, building our service reach while supporting ongoing installation opportunities. You will program, start up, inspect, service and potentially install fire alarms. In this role you will primarily be focused on fire alarm systems, with opportunities to expand into other technologies such as access control, intrusion, surveillance, and nurse call systems. Success in this role carries the unique opportunity of priority consideration for promotion to Service Manager for our growing branch in the Seattle-Metro area.
What You’ll Do
· Install, program and start up new systems
· Project planning and field coordination
· Potentially some installation of fire, security and communication systems
· Service and troubleshoot existing systems and wiring
· Customer contact, customer service and onsite training.
· Manage and/or assist with life safety inspections in commercial buildings
· Support business development efforts in the Seattle metro area
· Site previews with sales representatives for replacement systems
What You Bring
- Washington EL-06 license required
- Seattle FA-1 required or candidate must be willing to obtain as soon as possible.
- NICET FAS level II certification
- Ability to install, program, and start up systems per NEC code requirements and effective system startup and checkout methodology
- Experience troubleshooting low voltage systems
- Ability to follow specific instructions precisely when necessary, multitasking, consistent follow-through on delegated tasks
- Active problem solving through creativity and risk-taking
- Good written & verbal communications
- Creativity and design knowledge are a plus
- Knowledge of these systems is helpful: Notifier, Jeron, Brivo, Bosch, Avigilon and Kantech.
