We take pride in quality work and are looking for like-minded Professional CDL Drivers to join our team - Paid Orientation & Training.
Although we primarily operate long loggers, we also offer opportunities to drive mule trains, dump trucks, belly dumps, self-loaders, and water tenders. Voluntary out-of-region and out-of-state project work may also be available, with paid lodging and per diem. After becoming fully proficient in hauling logs, drivers may qualify for in-truck trainer roles that include a significant pay incentive.

Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with precision and safety.
- Work with Loggers and Mill Associates in the Loading and unloading of Logs, nearly No-Touch Freight. Loads secured with four (4) rope wrappers.
- Drive route-specific deliveries to forestry sites, mills, or processing centers, adhering to scheduled timelines and route plans.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, ensuring all safety features are functional and compliant with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, cargo weight, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all safety protocols related to manual transmission operation, load securement, OSHA, and FMCSA criteria.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and report any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, or tanker trucks.
- A LIMITED number of New CDL Holders will be considered
- A strong understanding of route driving, trip planning, and meeting loading/unloading timelines.
- Familiarity with or capability to learn & comply with Oregon Division 7 (Forest Activities) regulations related to transporting of logs.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the types of trucks operated (e.g., manual transmission proficiency).
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to freight transport and truck operation.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) & DOT Medical Certification.
- Clean driving record, NO MAJOR Preventable Accidents/Citations within last 5-years.
- NO "automatic CDL restrictions - all Ireland Trucks have manual transmissions.
- Must reside/live within 30 miles of an Ireland Trucking Terminal (locations Goshen, Coos Bay, & Myrtle Creek Oregon)
