Supervise the monthly inspection of each cafeteria in the agency for compliance to dept AG and SCDC policy.
Make on-site visits to institutions for purposes of operational assessments and discussions with operations managers.
Food service personnel, wardens, associate wardens, and/or business managers.
Responsible for direct oversight of the 2 operation managers and indirect oversight of those facilities falling under their purview.
Assisting in providing direction, managerial oversight and decision making in accordance with dept direction.
Responsible for responses to inmates, staff, and/or public inquiries pertaining to food service.
Responsible for responses to institutional food service personnel actions to include screening, interviewing, and evaluation.
Assist with the supervision of the Food Service WHSE, nutritional, business, and HR operations for the food service division.
Make recommendations pertaining to policy and personnel decisions.
Assist with administration of the USDA national school breakfast and lunch program.
Responsible for twenty-four hours annual training for each institutional food service subjects.
Participate in state level food service meetings and discussions.
Responsible for projects assigned by division director.
Actively Involved in design/layout entailed in renovation or new construction of food service facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal statutes.
Meet with salespersons and business representatives for the purpose of discussing products, specifications and cost. Involved in quarterly food buys; analyze and calculate needs and costs based upon market trends.
