Duties
- Deliver clear and motivating instruction in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and SAT preparation tutoring.
- Develop customized lesson plans and curriculum materials that align with individual student needs and learning goals.
- Utilize innovative learning technology and online instruction tools to enhance the educational experience.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Support students in developing problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and effective study habits.
- Manage classroom or virtual learning environments efficiently, maintaining engagement and discipline.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, or program coordinators to track student progress and set achievable objectives.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at various levels, including elementary through college coursework.
- Strong background in curriculum development and familiarity with learning technology platforms.
- Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapting instruction accordingly.
- Knowledge of science tutoring, English language arts tutoring, or special education is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively across different age groups.
- Prior experience with online instruction or virtual tutoring platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent writing skills, classroom management abilities, and a genuine passion for education are essential for success in this role.
