Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction on barbering techniques, hair styling, grooming, and related aesthetic treatments
- Develop detailed lesson plans that align with industry standards and curriculum requirements
- Supervise students during practical sessions, providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance their skills
- Mentor students on professional development, career pathways, and industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all instructional activities
- Evaluate student progress through assessments and practical demonstrations to ensure mastery of skills
Requirements
- Proven salon experience with a strong background in barbering
- Demonstrated ability to teach or mentor students in an educational or salon environment
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to aesthetic treatments and massage therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage
- Familiarity with advanced barber procedures
- Excellent classroom management skills with experience in adult education settings
- Strong lesson planning abilities with the capacity to create engaging curricula across multiple beauty disciplines
- Exceptional communication skills to motivate students and foster a positive learning atmosphere
