Job Summary
As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in our assisted living. Your responsibilities will involve planning and implementing engaging activities to promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
Responsibilities
- Organize and lead activities for seniors such as games, crafts, and outings
- Assist in coordinating events and programs tailored to the residents' interests
- Provide support in addressing aging issues and offering counseling when needed
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure activities meet the residents' individual needs
- Help manage schedules and maintain documentation related to activities
Requirements
- Experience or familiarity with assisted living, nursing home, memory care, or senior care environments
- Knowledge of dementia care and aging-related issues
- Strong event planning skills to create diverse and engaging programs
- Ability to effectively manage schedules and prioritize tasks
- Understanding of long-term care principles and home community care practices
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
