Shop Technician / Saw Operator

About Us
AADFW is an aerospace materials testing laboratory serving customers across the United States. We are looking for a dependable, motivated Shop Technician / Saw Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating industrial saws to prepare metal test specimens used for mechanical and metallurgical testing.

Responsibilities
- Operate horizontal and vertical metal cutting saws.
- Read work orders and cut materials to required dimensions.
- Measure parts using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Safely handle raw materials and finished test specimens.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic saw maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with other shop and production duties as needed.
- Learn additional manufacturing and laboratory support processes over time.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- 1+ year of experience operating industrial saws, lathes, mills, or other metalworking equipment.
- Manufacturing, fabrication, machine shop, or welding experience.
- Forklift certification.
- Ability to read measurements accurately and work with close tolerances.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
