Job Summary:
This position is integral to the success of the agency’s multifaceted grant writing and management efforts. Proposals are made to private and corporate foundations as well as county, state, and federal government agencies. The Assistant Grants Manager will advise and support the Grants Team in pursuit of grants from financial institutions, businesses and community partners. Superior writing, time management, organizational and communication skills are required to create quality work products that meet all deadlines for the completion of successful grant applications.
The Assistant Grants Manager works directly with the Grants Manger and key staff to support the pre-award planning, organization, and preparation, and manages the post-award administration of various grants assigned to one or more departments of the agency. The incumbent interacts with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that grants are in compliance with regulatory, funding agency, and policy requirements. S/he provides guidance and support in the identification and development of grant opportunities.
The Assistant Grants Manager produces grant proposals, specific proposal sections, grant report narratives, letters of inquiry, and other grant-related content as assigned. The incumbent tracks and maintains grant information in the agency’s database.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
· Reviews proposal with key providers and project managers.
· Prepares grant proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
· Writes, revises, and edits drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
· Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal.
· Improves proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplates.
· Meet with program directors to ensure that deliverables are being met for grant reporting purposes for select state/federal grants
· Update and maintain grant database to reflect any changes in closing of grants, acquiring of grants, and any pending grants.
· Gather and create all programmatic contractual documents for state, federal, and county grants.
· Track all award letter, and contractual documents for each funding stream.
· Assist financial director during annual audits with submitting over specific contractual documents as requested.
· Assist in the development of budgets for selected private foundations and county grants.
· Assist Grants Manager in identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities .
· Attend weekly and monthly grants meeting to discuss funding opportunities, renewals, and program sustainability with Grants Team.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
· Support other staff and perform related duties as requested.

Qualifications for best qualified candidates:
· A bachelor’s degree
· Research and grant writing and experience, and can submit sample proposals
· Strong interpersonal and writing skills
· Experience with Microsoft Office applications
· Be organized and deadline-oriented

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
