Duties
- Supervise and engage children during daily activities, playtime, and learning sessions to promote development and social skills
- Implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive growth, creativity, and physical activity
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, conducting regular room checks, and managing behavior effectively
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs for infants and toddlers
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Support classroom management by organizing materials, setting up activity stations, and maintaining cleanliness
- Apply first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents with professionalism and care
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children’s families
- Passionate about nurturing young minds with patience, enthusiasm, and a caring attitude
