Position Summary
Peak American Financial Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Staff Accountant to oversee the Company's day-to-day accounting operations and support the monthly financial reporting process. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing monthly financial statements, processing payroll, supporting variable compensation calculations, and ensuring the integrity of the Company's accounting data.
As a growing financial services firm, this position offers the opportunity to gain broad, hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting and finance rather than being limited to a single function. The Senior Staff Accountant will work directly with executive leadership, contribute to meaningful financial reporting and operational initiatives, and play an important role in supporting the Company's continued growth.
This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, values variety in their work, and wants the opportunity to broaden their experience across accounting, finance, reporting, payroll, and business operations.
The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. While this is not a management position, it is a highly visible role that requires sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage the Company's day-to-day accounting functions while partnering closely with the Vice President of Finance.
