The NCREW Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Absentee Shawnee Tribe Health Clinic’s mission to deliver high-quality, culturally competent healthcare services. This position is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on federally funded health award(s) to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and alignment with tribal health priorities. The specialist works closely with AST Research Center Executive Director, clinical staff, and tribal leadership to assess outcomes, improve program performance, and support strategic decision-making.
Education and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Statistics, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in grant evaluation, program monitoring, or health data analysis.
- Experience with program metrics, quality improvement, and reporting outcomes.
- Familiarity with tribal health systems, Indian Health Service (IHS), and federal grant programs (e.g., HRSA, SAMHSA, CDC, and NIH).
- Understanding of HIPAA, HRSA, SAMHSA, NIH or IHS guidelines depending on the grant source.
- Grant writing or proposal development experience preferred.
- Experience working with Native Americans and disadvantaged populations strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices and how to incorporate them into evaluations.
- Knowledge of federal and tribal grant regulations (IHS, HRSA, SAMHSA, CDC, NIH).
- Knowledge of program evaluation methods and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting standards.
- Knowledge of tribal health systems and culturally responsive practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Skills in data collection and statistical analysis.
- Skills in report writing and presentation.
- Skills in project monitoring and documentation.
- Ability to interpret complex grant requirements.
- Ability to communicate findings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
