DSG Solutions, LLC (DSG Solutions) is an expanding environmental consulting firm that specializes in assisting power and steam facilities manage their air quality compliance programs with an emphasis on supporting Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS). DSG Solutions is seeking a full-time air quality consultant with at least three years of air quality consulting work experience and a B.S./Masters/Ph.D. degree in atmospheric science, engineering, or physical sciences. The ideal candidate will have (a) academic and work experience demonstrating their strong interest in the air quality industry, (b) excellent verbal and written communication skills, (c) experience leading training sessions, (d) experience managing data in spreadsheets, (e) an acute attention to detail, (f) proficiency with e-mail and word processing, (g) excellent organizational skills, as well as (h) a strong willingness to learn and initiative to take on additional responsibility over time. Experience with exhaust emissions from combustion sources as well as state and/or federal air quality regulations, such as the Acid Rain Program and/or New Source Performance Standards are expected.
The successful candidate will work with CEMS data to review and prepare power and steam plants required air emissions compliance reports for submittal to state and federal government agencies. Other activities will include developing CEMS monitoring plans, CEMS quality assurance/quality control plans, and air management compliance tracking tools. The position may also include evaluating/specifying Data Acquisition and Handling System (DAHS) configurations for consistency with applicable requirements and conducting Air/CEMS/DAHS training for facility personnel. The successful candidate will be expected to build upon their solid technical knowledge based on the training and experience that he or she will be provided. The position may involve routine site visits and occasional overnight travel.
