PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for research relevant to museum assets, managing recent acquisitions, creating museum displays, and various
administrative duties.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining museum archival resources, including technical manuals, drawings, diagrams,
and photographs.
- Maintains accurate records of the collection via a computerized cataloguing system.
- Responsible for typing and filing Museum correspondence, forms, and reports.
- Regularly audits inventory locations of on-hand antiquities using in-house software.
- Assists with finding creative solutions to enhance museum efficiency and presentation.
- Organize new exhibits and displays.
- Researches and documents museum antiquities utilizing various available resources.
- Is willing to take direction from multiple management sources concurrently.
- Ensures tagging procedures are maintained for all inventory items.
- Locates inventory items upon request from management or another department.
- Assists with scheduled public tours and private events, occasionally outside normal business hours.
- Ensures timely and accurate communication of schedule information to other support functions.
- Supports, communicates and defends the mission, values, and culture of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
