Pay: $18.50–$21 per hour, based on experience
Chicky Blooms is looking for two dependable, energetic assistants to help with shop operations, events, customer service, and behind-the-scenes support.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with people, organizing, setting up events, and helping a small business run smoothly. Floral design experience is not required, but an interest in flowers, events, retail, or hospitality is a plus.
Important: Applicants must be available on Sunday, August 30, 2026, to help operate our busy lemonade stand during the Niles Antique Faire. This is expected to be a fast-paced event with thousands of visitors in the area.
August 30 responsibilities may include:
- Preparing and serving fresh lemonade
- Restocking cups, ice, fruit, and ingredients
- Keeping the beverage station clean and organized
- Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Helping with setup before the event and cleanup afterward
- Standing and working in a fast-paced environment for several hours
Ongoing responsibilities may include:
- Cleaning and organizing the flower shop and work areas
- Processing flowers and cleaning buckets
- Preparing supplies for deliveries and events
- Pricing and organizing merchandise
- Helping with inventory and restocking
- Setting up and breaking down events
- Assisting customers and answering the phone
- Running local errands or helping with deliveries when needed
- Supporting the owner with general operational tasks
Qualifications:
- Dependable, punctual, friendly, and hardworking
- Able to follow directions and complete tasks without constant supervision
- Comfortable working with customers and handling busy periods
- Able to lift approximately 30–40 pounds
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation is preferred
- Retail, food service, events, or customer service experience is helpful
- Must be available Sunday, August 30, 2026
