Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support in various settings. This role is crucial in fostering positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and treatment outcomes to ensure effective monitoring of care plans.
- Educate clients and their families on behavioral strategies and techniques to promote skill development.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Provide support in special education settings, facilitating learning opportunities for children with behavioral health needs.
- Assist clients in developing social skills and coping mechanisms to navigate daily challenges.
Skills
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and practices is highly desirable.
- Strong data collection skills to accurately track client progress and outcomes.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding medical records management.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients, families, and team members.
- A background in special education or behavioral health is a plus.
