Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This position involves performing various custodial tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
Schedule:
MWF- 8 AM-5PM(8 hours)
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of appearance.
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required to support overall facility maintenance.
- Respond promptly to any cleaning requests or emergencies throughout the day.
- Monitor building security by ensuring doors are locked and reporting any suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is an advantage.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license may be required for positions involving travel between locations.
