Duties
Assist the Head Housekeeper in overseeing the daily cleaning operations across all hotel areas, including guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, and service areas. Coordinate and supervise janitorial staff to ensure timely completion of cleaning tasks using industry-standard techniques for cleaning, floor care, and industrial cleaning. Implement and monitor cleaning schedules, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards while optimizing efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards. Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures, use of cleaning equipment, and hospitality best practices. Assist in managing inventory levels for cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment to ensure smooth operations without shortages or excess. Support the development of a positive team environment by fostering communication, teamwork, and a commitment to exceptional service.
Qualifications
Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, industrial cleaning methods, and janitorial best practices. Experience with housekeeping management systems or similar organizational tools is preferred. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of custodial staff. Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Solid understanding of hospitality industry standards and customer service principles. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
