Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Dump Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that fuels large-scale construction, mining, or transportation projects. In this position, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, or other bulk goods efficiently and safely across various job sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to timely deliveries will be vital in keeping projects on track and ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and tractor-trailers to transport construction materials, debris, or other bulk freight across designated routes and job sites
- Load and unload cargo using truck-mounted equipment or manual handling techniques while following proper safety procedures
- Navigate over the road (OTR) driving routes utilizing GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
- Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards during operations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulations
- Assist with logistics cargo handling and coordinate with dispatchers for route adjustments or delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials (Hazmat) as applicable
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods transportation standards
- Skilled in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques for loading/unloading cargo
- Experience operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks is a plus
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks is advantageous but not required
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and truck loading/unloading processes
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
- MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION TRUCK

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
