Summary
Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts receivable transactions, and posts customer payments on a timely basis. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports. May provide a variety of credit and collection functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts receivable transactions, and posts customer payments on a timely basis. Ensure timely collection of cash receipts from customers.
2. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports.
3. Adheres to accounts receivable policies and procedures and ensures external and internal controls and policies are adhered to.
4. Assists in identifying potential problem accounts and sends follow-up correspondence. May produce reports of accounts that are in arrears and analyses of bad debt and prepare analyses and reconciliations of invoice runs to detect fraud. Reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts.
5. Monitors and resolves customer deductions in a timely manner.
6. May assist other colleagues with invoice creation and processing.
7. May provide a variety of credit and collection functions.
8. Performs other office administrative duties including but not limited to assisting with ordering office supplies and other supplies/services.
9. Acts as back up for accounts payable
10. May obtain required information from credit organizations, banks and loan associations.
11. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

- Minimum of one year of previous accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting and/or financial experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in accounting a plus
