Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Staff/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food processors
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and ensuring ingredient availability for daily operations
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination
- Participate in food production for large-scale events or high-volume service periods with accuracy and speed
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals according to dietary restrictions and guidelines
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary aide roles or kitchen environments with a focus on food safety management
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and meal assembly
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency operating various kitchen equipment
- Experience with fine dining or restaurant service that emphasizes quality presentation and flavor balance
- Familiarity with recipe adherence and consistent food production standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production settings while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of catering processes and large-scale meal preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices
- Previous experience in culinary roles within the food industry or healthcare settings is highly desirable
