Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Assembly Worker to join our team. The position will be responsible for assembling products and components according to specifications, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This position plays a critical role in the production process and contributes to the overall efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts, components, and products using hand tools, power tools, or automated equipment.
- Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, or schematics to complete assigned tasks.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform basic quality control checks and report any issues or inconsistencies to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and stocking parts.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours/day).
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Use of hands and fingers to handle or operate tools and materials.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial materials.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment.
- Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
