Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Labor / Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems, shipping logistics, and international trade compliance within a fast-paced distribution setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of shipments using equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Maintain inventory accuracy through stock replenishment, stock rotation, and regular cycle counts
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with safety protocols
- Support shipping logistics activities including documentation, customs paperwork, and trade compliance for international shipments
- Use ERP systems such as AS400 to track inventory levels, process orders, and update records
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit while adhering to quality standards
- Assist with load planning and coordination for outbound deliveries
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas and optimizing space utilization
- Follow standard operating procedures for order fulfillment and adhere to international trade regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a warehouse environment or logistics setting required
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and MRP software
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, including documentation for international trade regulations
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing
- Strong understanding of trade compliance standards and packaging requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and safety protocols
- Ability to lift heavy objects regularly and stand for extended periods throughout shifts
