In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. The Senior HR Compliance Specialist acts as the subject matter expert on all HR compliance initiatives, ensuring all HR policies and practices meet external regulations, government contract requirements, and align to business priorities. Partnering with Legal, they shape compliant employment policies, drive risk mitigation and audit initiatives, support data privacy efforts, and manage end-to-end ADA accommodations processes.
- Advise, develop, and maintain employment policies and HR programs that align with business goals and comply with evolving labor laws and government contract requirements in consult with Legal
- Lead HR compliance initiatives, including policy reviews, HR audit programs, and risk mitigation projects
- Build and deliver targeted training programs (e.g., anti discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, hiring practices, contingent labor) and measure effectiveness through completion and incident reduction metrics
- Oversee HR data privacy reviews, ensuring HR projects, tools, and surveys adhere to privacy principles and relevant regulations
- Ensure accurate posting of required federal and state compliance posters in physical and virtual workplaces
- Manage and maintain end-to-end accommodations process in accordance with ADA accommodation process
- Serve as HR lead for risk assessment and risk mitigation activities
- Serve as HR's Contractor Assurance Systems (CAS) Coordinator, ensuring compliance with federal contract requirements
- Serve as HR lead for contract compliance, supporting contract extensions, renewals, and new agreements in coordination with the parent company
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Audit, Contracts or Law or related field
- 5 or more years experience in Human Resources or Compliance in a corporate environment
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
- SHRM/PHR/SPHR certifications
- Advanced degree or additional certifications
