A welcoming Los Altos family is seeking a warm, engaging, and dependable afternoon nanny for their household in Los Altos Hills. This role focuses primarily on the care of a bright, active 4-year-old, along with school support and occasional assistance for older siblings. The ideal candidate will be playful, nurturing, organized, and confident in creating a smooth, positive transition from school into the afternoon and evening
**Strong availability for occasional evening coverage is essential. The family especially needs a nanny who can provide Afternoon-evening care on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Flexibility and willingness to consistently support evening coverage on these days will be highly valued**
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, engaging care for the 4-year-old
- Pick up children from school
- Plan age-appropriate play, activities, outings, and enrichment
- Support after-school routines, transitions, and evening wind-down
- Provide occasional evening coverage, especially on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays
- Assist older siblings (bug girls) with school-related needs, homework, and activities
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for the 4-year-old
- Maintain a tidy, child-centered environment related to the children’s care
- Communicate warmly and professionally with the parents
- Support a calm, consistent, and respectful household rhythm

Ideal Candidate:
- Professional career nanny experience
- Experienced in caring for preschool-aged children and school-aged siblings
- Warm, energetic, patient, and genuinely enjoys engaging with children
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Possesses strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Valid driver’s license and has a clean driving record
- Able to make a long-term commitment to the family
Requirements:
- Professional paid childcare experience
