Duties

- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options, pain management, and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in memory care programs, particularly for patients with cognitive impairments.
- Engage in laboratory procedures as needed, ensuring proper handling and analysis of specimens.
- Stay informed about advancements in ophthalmology practices relevant to patient care.
- Manage neonatal ventilator settings for critically ill infants when applicable.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on memory care or similar environments preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and practices is essential.
- Familiarity with pain management techniques and protocols.
- Experience administering injections is required; proficiency in diagnostic evaluation is preferred.
- Understanding of laboratory procedures related to nursing practice is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary.
