Job Summary
Southwest Barricades is seeking an experienced Screed Operator to join our paving crew. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating the screed on asphalt pavers and a strong understanding of grade, slope, and material consistency to ensure a smooth, high-quality finish.
Responsibilities

Operate and control the screed on asphalt paving machines

Ensure proper depth, grade, and slope of asphalt placement

Work closely with the paving crew, foreman, and equipment operators

Monitor material flow and make adjustments as needed

Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance

Follow all safety procedures and job site protocols
Qualifications

Previous experience as a Screed Operator required

Strong understanding of asphalt paving processes

Ability to read grade stakes and work to specifications

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Valid driver’s license
