Life Enhancement Coach (Seniors)
Job Description
The Life Enhancement Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading engaging activities for older adults participating in the About Senior Solutions Life Enhancement Program. This role focuses on supporting clients' physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being through meaningful and enjoyable experiences. We strive to meet the needs uniquely to each individual client.
The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, creative and truly enjoys working with seniors, including individuals with cognitive and / or physical impairments. This position is perfect for someone who is patient, upbeat and able to adapt activities to meet the needs and interest of each individual client
Professional knowledge in fitness, nutrition, and cognitive health are important. Experience with dementia preferred. The Life Enhancement Coach must be organized, proactive and dependable. Professional, polished communication required. Flexible and creative in their facilitation Experience in the arts and or music is also a valuable skill for our clients. This is not a caregiver role; it is an engagement and quality-of-life role
This is a part-time position mostly during normal business hours Mon-Fri, however, could also include some part time hours on the weekends as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create a warm engaging an welcoming social environment for clients
- Plan and lead regular activities, events, special programs, exercise sessions and wellness/nutrition activities
- Coordinate special events and holiday celebrations for clients
- Ensure activities reflect cultural, religious and personal preferences of clients and their families
- Encourage participation and support to clients with varying cognitive and physical abilities.
Qualifications
- Must enjoy and have experience working with seniors
- Reliable, professional and compassionate
- Organized and able to plan activities independently
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills required, (email, documentation, scheduling)
- Ability to enter notes and updates in Care Tree (training provided) Willingness and ability to learn
- Must have a reliable, safe vehicle and valid driver's license, proof of current auto insurance.
- Must be comfortable driving to clients locations (primarily in the Pasadena area) and occasionally transporting clients as needed for special outings.
- Must be polished, warm and confident working with high-end clientele
Preferred
- Experience in senior care, memory care, activities, fitness, nutrition and wellness.
Schedule
- Part-time position with a flexible schedule.
- Most Monday-Friday during business hours
- Occasional weekend availability may be needed for special events and clients needs.
