Job Description
We are a small, independently owned restaurant looking for a reliable Cook who can work independently in a simple kitchen setup.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling a station alone and keeping consistent food quality during busy hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook menu items independently
- Daily prep work (cutting, portioning, basic prep)
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with basic inventory awareness and restocking needs
Requirements
- At least 1 year of restaurant kitchen experience
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision (Necessary)
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to handle busy service periods calmly
- Food Handler Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Experience with Asian or Chinese cuisine is a plus (not required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in small or low-staff kitchens
- Comfortable working solo during a shift
- Long-term availability preferred
