Why Physical Therapists Choose Chesterton Physical Therapy
Build More Than Clinical Experience
You will have opportunities to continue strengthening your clinical reasoning, expand your treatment skills, and develop confidence across a diverse outpatient caseload.
Our team supports ongoing learning and encourages clinicians to explore advanced treatment approaches, specialty interests, and future leadership opportunities.
Interest in pelvic health, dry needling, or advanced clinical techniques is welcomed and encouraged.
Mentorship That Supports Your Growth
New graduates should not be expected to figure everything out alone.
You will have access to experienced clinicians, collaborative problem-solving, hands-on guidance, and ongoing opportunities to continue developing your clinical confidence.
Experienced Physical Therapists will also have opportunities to mentor others, contribute ideas, support clinic growth, and expand their leadership impact.
A Team That Works Together
Strong patient outcomes do not happen in isolation.
You will collaborate closely with Physical Therapists, PTAs, aides, providers, patients, and families to create individualized treatment plans and deliver coordinated care.
You will be part of a family-oriented team where communication, collaboration, and mutual support are part of the culture.
Patient Care That Still Feels Personal
You will work with a diverse patient population and develop meaningful relationships with the people you treat.
Our approach is centered on measurable progress, individualized care, patient education, and helping every patient return to the activities that matter most to them.
Your patients are more than a diagnosis or a number on the schedule.
You will have the opportunity to understand their goals, guide their recovery, and see the difference your care makes.
Opportunities to Grow Into Leadership
Your career does not have to remain in the same position year after year.
As our organization continues to grow, Physical Therapists may have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in mentorship, team development, supervision, clinical education, community outreach, and future leadership.
We want to understand where you hope your career will go and help create opportunities for you to continue moving in that direction.
Why Michigan City Feels Different
Michigan City offers the opportunity to enjoy a strong professional career while creating more balance outside of work.
Located near Lake Michigan and within reach of the greater Chicago area, the community offers access to beaches, parks, trails, local restaurants, outdoor recreation, and a more affordable lifestyle than many larger metropolitan areas.
For Physical Therapists, Michigan City offers the best of both worlds:
- A diverse outpatient patient population
- Opportunities to develop meaningful long-term patient relationships
- Access to active adults and a wide variety of clinical presentations
- A growing community that values local healthcare providers
- More affordability and space outside of work
- Less congestion and many of the lifestyle pressures associated with larger cities
- Easy access to Lake Michigan, Northwest Indiana, and the greater Chicago area
Whether you are relocating, beginning your Physical Therapy career, or looking for a community where you can build a long-term future, Michigan City offers an opportunity to enjoy both meaningful work and a fulfilling life outside of the clinic.
What You Will Be Doing
- Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with the Indiana Physical Therapy Practice Act
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
- Create treatment strategies focused on measurable progress and meaningful patient outcomes
- Deliver evidence-informed outpatient Physical Therapy services
- Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists, PTAs, aides, providers, patients, and families
