Child Care Assistant – In-Home Daycare
We are looking for a caring, dependable Child Care Assistant to join our small, family-style in-home daycare. Our program cares for up to 14 children ages 6mo –12 years, and we work to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow.
Our daycare is open Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:45 PM. Scheduled hours may vary slightly from week to week depending on program needs.
Responsibilities
The assistant will help supervise and engage children throughout the day. This includes supporting playtime, guiding positive interactions, and introducing age-appropriate activities, crafts, and games. Experience maintaining and implementing a preschool-style curriculum is highly valued.
All meals are prepared and served on site, so the assistant should be comfortable helping prepare and serve food.
During nap time, responsibilities shift toward maintaining the environment and preparing for upcoming activities. This includes cleaning, organizing, and setting up crafts or learning materials.
Because this is a home-based daycare, some additional household organization tasks may be included as part of a mother’s helper–style role.
We are looking for someone who is creative, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children. A strong work ethic and the ability to work well as part of a team are very important.

Qualifications and Skills
Experience working with children is preferred.
ECE units are helpful but not required.
Applicants with strong childcare experience may be considered above the listed pay range.
All applicants must be willing to obtain or provide proof of a LiveScan background check/fingerprinting and an EMSA CPR certification. The LiveScan must be completed before hire, and the CPR certification can be completed within the first 10 days of employment. Both certifications are completed at the applicant’s expense.
Benefits
The daycare is closed on most major holidays.
One week closure in the summer.
Additional days closed around Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Part-time positions may have flexible scheduling.
