Position Summary
Marion School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and support services to students with disabilities, collaborate with staff and families, and ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct instruction and support to students receiving special education services.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support student success in inclusive settings.
- Collect and analyze student progress data and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct evaluations and participate in eligibility and IEP team meetings.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and outside service providers.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Montana special education regulations, and district policies.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
- Participate in professional development and school improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Montana Teaching License with Special Education endorsement or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to meeting the needs of all learners.
Preferred:
- Experience developing and managing IEPs.
- Experience working in a K–8 setting.
- Knowledge of MTSS, progress monitoring, and evidence-based interventions.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $42,856.00 - $49,001.00 per year
