Description:
Hop Shops, a division of Valor Oil, is looking for a Food Service Manager. As a Food Service Manager, you will need to be skilled in food management, stocking products, and maintaining a clean, safe retail environment. This position requires good communication and cash-handling skills and good personal grooming habits. Physical requirements include standing up to 8 hours during a shift.
Pay: $20.00 hourly
Schedule: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm (usually 8-hour shift in between mentioned times)
Location: Owensboro, Lewisport, Rockport area
Start: 2 -3 weeks
Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations and prepare food.

Plan for and purchase food.

Ensure food in storage meets adequate freshness.

Ensure program follows proper sanitation procedures.

Ensure safety standards are maintained while food is being cooked.

Prepare and serve the food.
-
Respond to customer preferences and complaints.

Set prices for each product, prices are approved through Director of Store Operations.

Purchase and maintain equipment, including refrigerators, stoves, and microwaves.

Keep records of supplies and purchases.

Maintain the food service area.
-
Do dishes daily.
-
Garbage emptied by end of shift.

Counters cleaned and organized.

Help CSAs with the coffee/fountain area.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel).

Prefer prior knowledge of food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must agree to background and credit check.

Will be required to obtain ServSafe certification upon hire.

Leadership knowledge and skills required.
